Needed a Chocolate crust for a pie found this in one of my Mother's old cook books, it was perfect for the pie I was making.

How to Make Chocolate Pie Crust (My Way )


  1. Mix flour, coco powder, and sugar together.
  2. Using a cutter or a fork add 1/3 cup shortning, till the mixture looks like small peas.
  3. Add vanilla and mix well.
    Add 3-4 tablespoons cold water mix till it forms a ball
  4. Roll out place in 8 inch pie plate flute edges and prick bottom and sides.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until set. Cool fill with filling of your choice and serve.
