chocolate pie crust (my way )

Needed a Chocolate crust for a pie found this in one of my Mother's old cook books, it was perfect for the pie I was making.

Ingredients For chocolate pie crust (my way )

  • I c
  • 3 Tbsp
    cocoa powder (unsweetened )
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1/3 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 3-4 Tbsp
    cold water

How To Make chocolate pie crust (my way )

    Mix flour, coco powder, and sugar together.

    Using a cutter or a fork add 1/3 cup shortning, till the mixture looks like small peas.

    Add vanilla and mix well. Add 3-4 tablespoons cold water mix till it forms a ball
  • 4
    Roll out place in 8 inch pie plate flute edges and prick bottom and sides.

    Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until set. Cool fill with filling of your choice and serve.
