This, as many others, is my grandmother's chocolate pie recipe. The basic recipe can be altered to be chocolate, banana, coconut or raisin. (simply omit the cocoa powder and add the ingredient of your choice).

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 3 - egg yolkes
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 stick butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2-1/4 cup milk
- - frozen, roll out pie crust
- - whipped topping
How To Make chocolate pie

Step 1Combine sugar, cocoa and flour. Add a small amount of milk so that the mixture is still "grainy." This helps to mix in the eggs.

Step 2Add eggs. Blend eggs into the sugar mixture and add rest of milk and butter. Butter will melt as the mixture heats.

Step 3Cook piecrust according the package directions.

Step 4Cook mixture on in the top of a double boiler on medium heat. Mixture will be done when it thickens. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Let mixture cool slightly. Pour into precooked pie crust.

Step 5Put the pie in the fridge to chill. Once chilled, top with whipped topping.
