chocolate pecan pie

I tried this recipe many years ago because I wanted something to make my plain chocolate pie a little special. We loved it. I just put a dollop of coolwhip on it when I serve it. Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans or walnuts, halves or chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 - 9-inch pie shell, unbaked

How To Make chocolate pecan pie

  • Step 1
    In a medium sauce pan, combine milk, butter and chocolate. Stir over low heat until melted.
  • Step 2
    In a bowl, mix eggs, syrup, flour and salt. Stir to combine well. Add to chocolate mixture and stir until heated and smooth.
  • Step 3
    Remove from heat, add nuts and vanilla.
  • Step 4
    Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell and back at 375 F for about 45 minutes.
