this is a wonderfully rich, chocolate lovers dream for a pecan pie.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces chocolate, unsweetened squares
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 - 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 3 - eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1-2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 - unbaked pastry for a 10-inch pie shell, or 2 (8-inch) pie shells
  • - pecans (halved or coarsely chopped)

How To Make chocolate pecan pie

  • Step 1
    melt chocolate with butter in saucepan
  • Step 2
    combine condensed milk, sugar and salt, stir in eggs. add chocolate mixture and beat well
  • Step 3
    stir in vanilla
  • Step 4
    pour into unbaked pie shell which has been covered with pecans.
  • Step 5
    bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees.
  • Step 6
    reduce heat to 300 degrees, and bake 45 minutes.
  • Step 7
    store in refrigerator.
