chocolate malted sweet potato pie
I created this eighth sweet potato pie recipe in the style of chocolate malt pie with chocolate malted balls known as chocolate malties. The filling on the bottom is delicious.

Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 6 tablespoons malted milk powder, divided
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 deep dish pie crust (9-inch)
- 2 cups crushed chocolate malted balls, divided
- 3 sweet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup half and half
- 3/4 cup chocolate milk
How To Make chocolate malted sweet potato pie

Step 1In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, cream cheese, semi-sweet chocolate chips and 3 tablespoons malt milk powder; whisk until blended and smooth.

Step 2Spread into the bottom and sides of pie crust and sprinkle with 1 cup crushed chocolate malted balls. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Step 3Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 4Bring a large saucepan of water to boil. Add sweet potatoes and boil until soft for 20 to 25 minutes. Drain well and discard the skin.

Step 5Place the potatoes in a large bowl and mash with a potato masher.

Step 6Beat margarine, cane sugar, remaining malted milk powder, eggs, half and half and chocolate milk together until combined.

Step 7Spoon sweet potato mixture into the prepared pie crust. Bake for 30 minutes or until the pie is set. Cool completely.

Step 8Sprinkle with remaining crushed chocolate malted balls.
