    9" pie shell, baked & cooled
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    hershey's cocoa
  • 1/3 c
    cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 3 c
    milk
  • 3/4 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • ·
    reddi wip (garnish)
  • ·
    semi-sweet chocolate chips (garnish)

How to Make Chocolate Cream Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch & salt in medium pan. Combine eggs & milk. Slowly stir into sugar mixture, till well combined. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly w/wisk till mixture starts to thicken and just comes to a boil. Remove from heat.
  2. Add choc chips, butter & vanilla. Stir till everything is melted smooth. Pour into crust.
  3. Cover w/plastic wrap, making sure wrap is directly on the pie surface, so skin won't form. Chill in fridge 4-5 hours till firm. Top w/whipped cream & choc chips.
