This recipe was given to me by a great lady that became a great friend to me when I was struggling with my 2nd battle of cancer. It is very, very yummy. It was originally from a lady in Pointe, Texas sent it to her mother in Shelby, N.C. and has really been passed around.You want to share when you find something this good.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 c
    self-rising flour
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    pecans (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    cocoa
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c
    boiling water

How to Make CHOCOLATE COBBLER

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees.
  2. Combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar, pecans, 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa, milk, vanilla in a small bowl. Pour mix over melted butter. DO NOT STIR:
  3. Mix 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa and drizzle over batter. DO NOT STIR:
  4. Pour boiling water over the top. DO NOT STIR:
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool. Serve with ice cream if so desired.
