I found this recipe and have made it several times. Have always had compliments on it. My husband likes this with ice cream or whipped cream on top.

Ingredients
- 1 - 9-inch pie shell, unbaked
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 - eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 - small can (5.33 ounces) evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 to 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
How To Make chocolate chess pie

Step 1Prepare unbaked pie shell.

Step 2Mix sugar, cocoa and butter. Stir well.

Step 3Add eggs and beat with electric mixer for 2 1/2 minutes.

Step 4Add salt, milk and vanilla. Stir in pecans, if desired.

Step 5Pour filling into pie shell.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
