chocolate banana cream pie
Chocolate and Bananas are two flavors that just belong together. My family cannot resist this pie. I often use a crumb crust as we just like that sweetness.

Ingredients
- - 9 inch pastry shell or crumb crust
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup hershey's cocoa
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 medium bananas, sliced
How To Make chocolate banana cream pie

Step 1Bake pastry shell per directions; set aside. Combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt in medium saucepan; gradually add milk, stirring until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; boil and stir 3 minutes.

Step 2Remove from heat; blend in butter and vanilla. Pour into bowl; press plastic wrap directly onto surface cool to room temperature.

Step 3Cover bottom of cooled shell (or crumb crust) with small amount of filling. Arrange banana slices over filling; cover with remaining filling. Chill 3-4 hours or until firm. Garnish with sweetened whipped cream and banana slices if desired.
