Ingredients
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 - egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 - baked 9 inch pie shell
- 1 can cherry pie filling
How To Make cherry creme pie

Step 1In saucepan combine sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt. Gradually add milk and mix until smooth. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat until very thick.

Step 2Blend a little of the hot mixture into the slightly beaten egg yolks and add to the rest of the hot mixture. Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Cover and chill.

Step 3Beat whipping cream. Add vanilla to chilled mixture and beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream.

Step 4Put whipped filling in pie shell and cover with cherry pie filling. Garnish with whipped cream if desired. Keep refrigerated.
