Some pecan pies are just too sweet, some are a bit bland and some are just waxy tasting. This pie is smooth tasting and rich, a pecan pie that is just perfect! I found this recipe in an old blue ribbon winner cookbook so I hope it is a blue ribbon winner in your house, too! It is in mine. I served it for CHRISTmas Eve dinner and several people remarked how good it is! Yum!

Ingredients

1 Tbsp
flour, all purpose
3/4 c
sugar
3/4 c
light corn syrup
1/4 c
half and half, fat free (can use whole milk)

eggs, beaten slightly
2 Tbsp
butter, melted (kerrygold is best)
1 1/2 c
pecans, chopped
1
unbaked pie shell

How to Make Catherine's Pecan Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix together flour and sugar; stir in remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 1 hour or until pie is set and firm. Top with whipped cream or cool whip.
