carmel apple tarts
We live in a beach town and "summer" foods are always on display...like Caramel Apples...I never buy them, I have no idea how many days ago they were made and I like my kids teeth right where they are...in their mouths! So I came up with a way to indulge them without going overboard! Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2 - granny smith apples, peeled and coarse chop
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup butterscotch ice cream topping
- 2 - refrigerated pie crusts
- 12 - caramels, cut in half
- 1/4 - peanuts, dry roasted
How To Make carmel apple tarts

Step 1In glass bowl mix together apples, flour and ice cream topping. Microwave for 5-6 minutes (will be bubbly and thickened)

Step 2Meanwhile unroll pie crusts and cut into 2 inch circles. Place in mini muffin tins and press in to form mini pie crusts. In each pie crust place 1/2 caramel. Fill with apple mixture, sprinkle with peanuts.

Step 3Bake a 400 for 14-15 minutes. Serve warm.
