caramel apple pecan pie
My family loves Pecan pie and Apples with caramel. I decided to combine them and satisfy both cravings. It has been a great hit during the holidays, and looks very appetizing.

Ingredients
- 5 cups granny smith apples (peeled, cored & sliced)
- 2 1/2 tablespoons minute tapioca
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 3 - eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1 cup pecan pieces
- 1 teaspoon dark vanilla
How To Make caramel apple pecan pie

Step 1Mix and set aside sliced apples and tapioca.

Step 2Mix the remaining ingredients together and add to apple mixture. Pour into 9" deep pie crust dusted with flour on both sides to prevent from sticking to pie pan. Top with a lattice crust design.

Step 3Brush with milk on top pie crust and dust with cinnamon and sugar.

Step 4Bake 350* for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Drizzle with your favorite caramel topping while still warm. Let cool and serve with more caramel drizzle over the top, running over onto plate for a nice presentation. Yummm!
