How to Make Candied Yams
- 1Boil yams, DO NOT BREAK THE SKIN! Then peel and cut into quarters or cubes.
- 2Place yams in shallow, buttered pan (13x9"). Pour syrup/molasses over yams, add nuts if desired and dot with butter.
- 3Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
- 4If using marshmallows: pull out of oven after about 20 minutes and add marshmallows, then replace in oven for 5 to 10 minutes more, or until marshmallows are golden around their edges.
