My first experience with butterscotch pie. It was delicious. My Aunt Opal's recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 pie crust shell
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 2 1/4 cups milk/evaporated milk
- 3 egg yolks
How To Make butterscotch pie

Step 1In heavy bottom saucepan, combine brown sugar, flour and milks. (I use 12 oz of evaporated and add regular milk to make 2 1/4 cups total)

Step 2Beat the egg yolks. Add to the above mixture and cook until it thickens over medium heat and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 3Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla. Pour into 9 inch pie shell. Top with meringue or whipped topping. Chill.
