buttermilk pie
This is one of my most requested pie recipes, especially around Thanksgiving. I've had the recipe so long I don't even remember where I got it from. :)

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter/margarine
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Dash - nutmeg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 - unbaked 9" pie shell
How To Make buttermilk pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In mixing bowl, cream together butter/margarine and sugar. Beat at medium speed till light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 2Add the flour and nutmeg; beat at low speed until blended. Add the buttermilk and beat well until smooth. Pour into the pie shell.

Step 3Bake for 55 minutes or till knife inserted near center of pie comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting.
