This is my son, Shannon's, favorite pie. He came home from spending a holiday with his friend in Grenada, Mississippi, talking about how good it was. I had to figure out how to make it!

  • 3 Tbsp
    plain flour
  • 2 c
  • 1/2 c
    margarine, softened
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 2
    uncooked pie crusts

How to Make Buttermilk Pie


  1. Cream sugar with softened butter.
  2. Add the flour, eggs; beat well.
  3. Stir in the cinnamon, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour into uncooked pie crusts. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 - 50 minutes. This makes two pies.
