I've not made this pie in years it reminds me of my childhood. Nothing like a old southern pie to bring back memories of hanging in the kitchen. My daughter loved this pie making this today makes me miss her so much. Rest in peace momma`s love.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 3 - eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla or lemon extract
- 2 tablespoons (heaping) of flour
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
How To Make buttermilk chess pie

Step 1Combine sugar, flour, cornmeal. Mix well. Add melted butter,mix. Add eggs, mix. Add vanilla extract and buttermilk. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Bake 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
