butter tarts / tarte au sucre
Truly a Canadian dessert. I have to post this one for my American friends so they can taste what they are missing

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup maple syrup ( use the real stuff)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 - eggs
- 6 1/2 tablespoons melted butter ( use real butter)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- - raisins/pecans/walnuts your choice
How To Make butter tarts / tarte au sucre

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Use your favorite crust recipe and cut circles and place in tart pan. put a few raisins/pecans/walnuts on the bottom.

Step 2Mix all the ingredients together till sugar dissolves. fill pastry cup 1/2 way (filling expands) and bake for 20 to 25 min. let the tarts cool a bit before taking them out of the tart pans
