A seriously buttery Crust, and lots of Nuts gives this tart a Sweet finish your sure to enjoy. The Wonderful Touch of Bourbon makes these a little extra special for any special occasion. ENJOY!!

yield 8-9 small tarts or 1 large

Ingredients

  • COOKIE CRUST OR PIE CRUST
  • 4 stks - butter (1lb) diced
  • 4 C - flour (un bleached)
  • 1/2 C - sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt.
  • MIX ON LOW SPEED 5-7 MIN. PRESS 1/3 CUP DOUGH IN PAN AND UP SIDES
  • FILLING:
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 C - sugar
  • 1/3 C - butter, melted
  • 1/2 C - dark karo corn syrup
  • 1/2 C - light karo corn syrup
  • 3 Tbs - bourbon
  • 2 tsp - pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 3 C - pecans

How To Make "bourbon pecan tarts" a holiday treat

  • Step 1
    Mix crust, and pat into tart pan & thicker up the sides. (makes 8- 9), 4 1/2" flutted tarts
  • Step 2
    Mix & whisk filling, all except Pecans. Divide pecans among tarts.
  • Step 3
    Fill Tarts 2/3 full. BAKE: 375 on hot baking sheet untill filling is just set, and crust is golden brn. Approx 30-35 min.
  • Step 4
    Cool on rack completely, before removing from pans. Note: you can cheat by using store bought tart shells. You can also omit the Bourbon and have mini pecan Tarts. The Bourbon just give these a little something special.
