Another Handwritten recipe in my old lost collection written on the same paper as the Brownies.

Ingredients

  • BUTTER CRUST AS FOLLOWS:
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • BLEND IN 1 CUP BUTTER ADD 1 EGG. ROLL OUT DOUGH, CUT IN LATTICE STRIPS CHILL.
  • FILLING FOR BARS, AS FOLLOWS:
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How To Make blueberry bars by freda

  • Step 1
    Preheat Oven @ 350 Butter a 9 X 13 Pan. CRUST: Make Crust for Lattice BOTTOM CRUST, (or Cheat and Buy Pre made) For Lattice, Cut in lattice strips, set aside & chill in refer.
  • Step 2
    Filling: Mix all ingredients in Bowl, "EXCEPT" last Tbs sugar. Pour into buttered pan. (There is No Crust on bottom. . Unless you choose to.) optional Top with lattice crust strips. ( cut in 1" Strips. ) Sprinkle with last TBS Sugar over top of lattice crust.
  • Step 3
    Bake in 350 oven for 45 min to 1 hr or til crust is golden brown. Serve warm or Cold. Makes 12 bars
