Sandy Young

A Sunday School friend in Pensacola, Mary Ann, gave me this recipe at least 40 years ago. It's not a very pretty pie, but it surely is yummy!

3 Tbsp
cocoa, unsweetened
1 can(s)
(small) evaporated milk
1 stick

  • 1Mix eggs, sugar, cocoa, and milk in blender.
  • 2Add butter, salt, and vanilla. Blend.
  • 3Pour into an unbaked pie shell (deep dish kind is best as it holds more) and bake at 325 for 40 to 45 minutes.
  • 4Be sure to bake on bottom shelf in oven so that bottom of crust will get done.
  • 5Serve topped with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Sprinkle with ground nuts or ground chocolate if you want to make it fancy.
