black walnut pie
(1 RATING)
Hi everyone, I am the only one in my immediate family that loves black walnuts. I had forgotten I had recipe for this pie. I honestly cannot say this is the way gramma made hers. I remember her making the pie and grampa always ate it. I remember the huge black walnut tree, just down the hill from the house. I know how hard we worked, I was kid, it seemed hard.Lot of work picking them up and hauling to road in front of house, so could drive over them to get green hull off, helping grampa (LOL) crack them and helping gramma pick them out. Does anyone remember stained fingers? Very good pie!!
