black forest cream pie cake
The taste of this cake reminds me of an ice cream sundae. This was my Dad's favorite cake, I made it for his birthday every year. He passed away in August.

Ingredients
- 1-18oz box devil's food cake mix
- 2-21oz cans cherry pie filling
- 1-5.1oz box instant vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
- 1-8oz tub - Cool Whip
- - sprinkles
- - maraschino cherries

Step 1Bake cake in a 13x9 pan according to the package directions.

Step 2While cake is still warm, poke top with a fork, and spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the top of the cake.

Step 3While cake cools, prepare pudding according to package directions, let thicken. Fold Cool Whip into vanilla pudding.

Step 4Spread pudding/Cool Whip mixture evenly and carefully over cake on top of the cherry pie filling.

Step 5Decorate with sprinkles and maraschino cherries.

Step 6Cover and refrigerate.
