This version of the Southern favorite was passed down through my father's side of the family. it's a favorite at Thanksgiving, or whenever the extended family gets together.

Ingredients
- 5 - eggs
- 2 3/4 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 - unbaked pie shells
How To Make big mother's chess pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2Beat eggs well.

Step 3Add sugar, flour, cornmeal, vinegar, evaporated milk, melted butter and vanilla. Continue beating as each ingredient is added.

Step 4Pour into unbaked pie shells.

Step 5Bake 30-35 minutes at 350.
