Found this recipe in an old Frankenmuth heritage cookbook. This pie is quick and easy to make, and does taste like the Stawberry Pies they serve at Big Boy.

Ingredients

1 - baked and cooled pie shell.
4 cups sliced strawberries (placed in cool shell)
1 1/2 cups cold water
3/4 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 - 3 oz. pkg. strawberry jello
1/8 teaspoon lemon juice

How To Make big boy strawberry pie

Step 1

Boil the water, sugar and cornstarch till clear.

Step 2

Add jello and lemon juice.
Step 3

Set aside to cool
Step 4

Pour over berries
Step 5

Chill and serve with whipped cream.
