best berry pie
I made this for my husband's birthday and he and our daughter both said this was a very yummy pie!

Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh or frozen berries. can be blackberries, boysenberries, marion berries, etc.
- 3/4-1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- - zest of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1 1/8 tablespoons butter
- - crust for double crust pie
How To Make best berry pie

Step 1Heat oven to 400 degrees

Step 2Prepare pie crust for double crust pie. Line 10" pie plate.

Step 3Mix dry ingredients together.

Step 4Gently mix dry ingredients with the berries.

Step 5Place in 10" lined pie dish. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust. Be sure to cut venting slits.

Step 6Brush crust with milk or cream and sprinkle with granulated sugar.

Step 7Baking in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking until crust is golden and the juices begin to bubble through the venting slits. (approximately 40-60 minutes)

Step 8Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
