Ingredients
- 1 box refrigerated pie crusts
- FILLING:
- 6 cups cortland apples, peeled and thinly sliced (6 med apples)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon butter, cubed
How To Make best apple pie.

Step 1Heat oven to 425*, place 1 pie crust in 9-in pie plate & press.

Step 2Mix filling ingredients; pour into bottom pie crust.

Step 3Top with lattice-style crust. Press top & bottom crusts together on sides of pie plate. Sprinkle crust with cinnamon & sugar, if desired. *Do NOT let the crust get warm before baking!*

Step 4Drop butter chunks in open spots on the crust, wherever it looks good.

Step 5Bake 40-45 minutes. Cover edges with foil after 15 minutes of baking.

Step 6Cool on cooling rack at least 2 hours before serving.
