This recipe is sooooo good! Almost as good as having a real banana split! Great dessert recipe sure to make a big hit!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened and divided
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 large egg (eggland brand recommended as they are very fresh)
  • 4 - bananas, cut in half legthwise
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drained (reserve 1/4 cup of the juice)
  • - chocolate syrup to drizzle
  • - maraschino cherries

How To Make banana split pie

  • Step 1
    In small bowl combine graham crumbs and 1/4c butter. Press into 9" pie plate or 9x9 pan. Bake 5 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.
  • Step 2
    In small bowl, combine confectioners sugar, egg and remaining butter. Beat until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Spread mixture over cooled crumb crust. Add banana halves. Sprinkle crushed pineapple over the bananas.
  • Step 4
    In another bowl combine 1/4c pineapple juice and cream cheese. Beat until smooth and spread over the fruit. drizzle with chocolate syrup, sprinkle topping with nuts and garnish with maraschino cherries. YUMMM!!
