I learned this recipe when I was in high school. I helped to make it for one of my friends graduation party. It's been a party favorite from Michigan to Mississippi!!!

Ingredients

  • CRUST
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups graham crackers, crushed
  • FILLING
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • TOPPINGS
  • 4 - medium bananas, slightly ripened (about 3 cups sliced)
  • 1-20 ounce can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1/3 cup maraschino cherries, cut in half
  • 8 ounces cool whip
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts of your choice
  • - chocolate syrup

How To Make banana split pie

  • Step 1
    Combine melted butter and graham cracker crumbs. Press into bottom of 13x9x2 pan.
  • Step 2
    Beat cream cheese and softened butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat 5 mins. Spread over crust. Chill for 30 mins.
  • Step 3
    Spread pineapple over creamed mixture. Arrange bananas over pineapple. Cover with whipped topping, sprinkle with nuts. Chill for 6 hours. Garnish with cherries. Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
