banana fruit pie
This pie recipe is one that my grandmother made since I was old enough to remember. It's a simple pie, actually makes 2 pies, but is very tasty. I have posted it just the same as my grandmother wrote it-I hold firm to those memories.

Ingredients
- 1 - 20-oz. can crushed pineapple
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - medium sized bananas
- 1 - 16-oz. container cool whip
- 2 - 9 inch graham cracker pie crust
- - cherries for decorating
How To Make banana fruit pie

Step 1Mix pineapple, sugar, cornstarch and butter in medium sized saucepan on top of stove over medium heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from stove.

Step 2Cut 1 banana for each pie shell in slices and place in bottom of each pie crust. Pour 1/2 of hot mixture evenly over bananas in pie crusts and allow to cool.

Step 3When completely cool, top with cool whip and decorate with cherries.

Step 4Keep in refrigerator over night before serving the next day.
