  Scald milk. Mix eggs, sugar, flour and salt. Add vanilla. After milk is scalded put mixture in milk. Cook until thickened.

  Slice bananas. Arrange close together on baked pie shell. Cover with filling. Top with meringue

  Meringue: Beat 2 eggs whites well until stiff. Add 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/8 teaspoon baking powder. Beat well and arrange on pie.
