easy breezy bacon and cheddar quiche

Easiest thing in the world to make and it is alway a hit! this is a staple at our yearly Christmas brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 pounds bacon fried crisp drained, broken into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded fine
  • 1 - green onion chopped or 1 tablespoon of onion diced fine or 1 tablespoon of chives
  • 1 - 9 inch pie crust- uncooked
  • 2 cups half anf half
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

How To Make easy breezy bacon and cheddar quiche

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400. Prepare a 9 inch pie crust or use one that is from the dairy case. Do not prebake.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle the bacon on the bottom of the pan, spread the cheese over the bacon.
  • Step 3
    In a bowl, beat the eggs and mustard until frothy.
  • Step 4
    Stir in the half and half and onions
  • Step 5
    Pour over cheese and bacon.
  • Step 6
    Put on middle rack in oven, turn the temp to 350 degrees and cook 30-45 minutes until eggs are set. A knife stuck in the middle will come out clean.
