Ingredients
- - 1/4 cup butter
- - 3 granny smith apples, peel and cored and diced
- - 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- - 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- - 1 tablespoon sugar
- - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- - 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
- - 1 egg, lightly beaten
- - 2 teaspoons icing sugar, for dusting
How To Make apple strawberry turnovers

Step 1Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook apple, stirring occasionally, for 4-5 minutes until tender. Stir in maple syrup, sugar, and cinnamon and strawberry jam. Cook, stirring, for 4-5 minutes until liquid boils and thickens.

Step 2Transfer mixture to a bowl.Set aside for 15 minutes to cool, then chill until mixture is cold. Preheat oven to hot, 400 degrees F (200C) Cut each pastry sheet into 4 even sized squares.

Step 3Spoon 2 tablespoons of apple mixture onto one half of each pastry square. Brush edges with a little egg. Fold pastry over filling to form a triangle, pressing edges to seal. Brush with remaining egg. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Dust with confectioners sugar.
