1Place one crust in standard (not deep dish) pie pan.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put the sliced apples in a medium size bowl.
In a smaller bowl mix the sugar, cloves, cinnamon, and corn starch with a spoon.
Add this mixture to the apples. Gently stir until the apples are coated. Put the apples into the pie shell and form a mound. Cut the butter into thin slices and place all over the apples. Put the second pie crust over the apples, press the seams of the 2 crusts together and shape the ends. Cut several slots in the top of the crust for steam to escape.
Bake approximately 45 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.
Remove from oven - either cool completely or cut while still hot and serve with ice cream.
