Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 5 - tart apples, peeled, cored, sliced
- 4 tablespoons sugar or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 ounces almonds, sliced

How To Make apple pie caramel almond

Step 1In small bowl, stir together flour, sugar and salt.

Step 2With fork, beat together salad oil and milk.

Step 3Stir oil mix into flour mix to make a soft dough.

Step 4Press dough into 9 inch pie plate or 10 inch shallow au-gratin dish.

Step 5Press edges to make sides about 1 inch high in gratin dish; make sides come to top of pie plate.

Step 6Bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes or until golden.

Step 7While crust bakes, prepare apples.

Step 8Mix with sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice.

Step 9Turn into baked pie shell.

Step 10Melt butter in skillet.

Step 11Add sugar, flour, cinnamon and almonds.

Step 12Boil 1 minute, stirring.

Step 13Pour over apples in pan to coat evenly.

Step 14Bake at 425 for 25-30 minutes or until caramel topping is golden and bubbly.

Step 15Cool before serving.

Step 16Serve with sour cream, or lightly sweetened whipped cream.
