My Mom made the family this apple pie every holiday. The apples were fresh from the apple groves and so delicious. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 6 - 8 large apples, use a mixture of different apples
- 2 crust pastry
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - 3 teaspoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter - cup-up for the top of the apples
How To Make apple pie

Step 1Use any pie crust you like the best.

Step 2Butter the bottom of pie plate and put 1/2 pie crust, rolled out, in a 9" or 10" pie plate.

Step 3Pare apples, and slice the pieces on the medium side.

Step 4In a bowl, mix sugar, flour and spices. Rub a little of the sugar mixture into the bottom crust.

Step 5Overlap apples in pie plate and add remaining sugar mixture and dot with butter that you cut-up.

Step 6Put top crust on and flute crust edges. Make slits to vent pie.

Step 7Bake at 425 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
