this is a great tasting apple pie, my husband loves it.

Ingredients

  • 2 - prepared pie crust, bought or homemade
  • 1 cup rome apples, peeled and quartered
  • 1 cup apples, golden delicious, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 - egg white
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • - sugar, for sprinkling the top

How To Make apple pie

  • Step 1
    prepare pie crust, bought or homemade into pie plate. in saucepan, add rome apples, apple juice, cook until apples are a mush, then add golden delicious apples, cook until tender.
  • Step 2
    add in to apple mixture, remaining ingrdeients, cook until mixture is thick. pour into your prepared pie shell, with remaining pie shell, cut your lattice top, I do mine about 1/4" wide, layer your lattice top in a woven pattern, with floured fork, seal your pie crust edges, trim any remaining crust off, using your fork like a knife, brush with egg white wash. bake in 350 degree oven, until crust is golden brown, remove from oven, sprinkle top with sugar, if so desired.
