How to Make Apple/Pear Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Peel and slice pears to desired size.
  2. Melt butter in a frying pan. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and salt. Cook the pears for a few minutes, and then add a can of Apple Pie filling. Simmer until hot and desired consistency.
  3. Pour into prepared pie pan. Cover apples and pears with the second pie crust. Poke holes in top of pie crust. I like to make hearts!
  4. Bake in a 400 degree oven for approximately 40 minutes or less depending on how brown you like your crust! We like ours browned and crispy!
