Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups mincemeat
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 - 9-inch pie crust, enough for a double crust

How To Make apple mince walnut pie

  • Step 1
    Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt in a bowl. Add apples, Mix lightly. Add mincemeat and walnuts; mix well.
  • Step 2
    Heap into pastry lined 9 inch pie pan, dot with butter. Adjust top crust, flite edges, and cut vents.
  • Step 3
    Brush top crust with milk, sprinkle with sugar. Bake in a 425F oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until crust is browned and apples are tender. Cool on rack
