Ingredients

  • 6 / 8 - tart apples
  • 1 - 9 inch unbaked pastry shell
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup light cream
  • - ground cinnamon
  • - cheddar cheese

How To Make apple custard pie

  • Step 1
    Pare, core, cut apples in eighths. Arrange in 9 inch UNBAKED pastry shell.
  • Step 2
    Combine sugar, flour, and salt. Stir in light cream. Pour mixture over apples. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon
  • Step 3
    Cover loosely with foil. Bake at 375 F for 1 hour. Remove foil; bake 15 minutes more, or till apples are done. Serve warm with Cheddar cheese, if desired.
