Ingredients
- 2 pounds granny smith apples, peeled, thinly sliced (about 6 cups)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons minute tapioca
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cold butter or margarine, cut into pieces
- 1 - ready to use refrigerated pie crust (1/2 of 14.1 oz. package)

Step 1Heat oven to 400.

Step 2Toss apples with granulated sugar, topioca and spices in a large bowl. Let stand for 15 minutes. Mix flour and brown sugar in to a medium bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; set aside.

Step 3Line a 9-inch pie plate with crust as directed on package for one crust pie. Fill with fruit mixture; top with crumb mixture. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until juices from bubbles that burst slowly. Then Cool.
