apple crumb pie

This is another recipe from The Apple Barn Cookbook. It was submitted by Nancy Hicks, Sevierville Tn. ( Photo is my own). Made this one for my daddy. Very easy to make. Hardest part is waiting for it to cook, the smells in my house right now are awesome, apple cinnamon, smells like fall :) Hope y'all enjoy this one

Ingredients

  • 3 large cooking apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 - unbaked pie shell
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar , divided
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup margarine, cold

How To Make apple crumb pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400. Arrange apple slices evenly in pie shell. Combine cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar together and sprinkle over apples. Combine remaining sugar and flour together and stir well, cut in margarine until mixture resembles course meal. Sprinkle over apples.
  • Step 2
    Bake 40-50 minutes.
