Ingredients
- 6 - apples, granny smith peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup butter flavor shortening
- 6-7 tablespoons iced water
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, cold
How To Make apple crisp pie

Step 1Peel, core, and slice apples. Splash with lemon juice.

Step 2Add cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, and corn starch and set aside.

Step 3Mix flour and salt. Cut shortening into flour and add water until a soft dough takes form. Set in refrigerator for half hour.

Step 4Mix four, cinnamon, and butter until crumbly.

Step 5Roll out dough to fit into an 8x11 casserole dish. Trim edges.

Step 6Pour in apple filling and top with crumb mixture. Bake in a 350' oven for 1 hour or until juice are bubbling.
