This a kind of quick & easy recipe to make when you have left over apples. More so around the Holidays. Qucik, easy & oh so good. I make this 3 times a year starting from Thanksgiving on.

Ingredients For apple crisp (gluten free)

  • 6
    large tart cooking apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • topping
  • 1 box
    betty crocker (gluten free) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts, anykind
  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1
    ice cream, scoop

How To Make apple crisp (gluten free)

    Heat the oven to 350F. In a large bowl toss the apple slices with 1 tsp. cinnamon well. Spread them evenly on the bottom of a 13x9 inch baking pan.

    In another large bowl mix the cake mix & nuts. With a pastry blender or fork cut in the butter until crumbly.

    Add in 1 tsp cinnamon & the egg. Mix very well. Sprinkle evenly over the apples.

    Bake for about 45 mins or until topping islightly golden brown. Serve warm with any kind of ice cream.
