apple butter pumpkin pie
As a child, Apple Butter was my very favorite, and I always thought it's name was "Bama" because that's what was on the jar. It wasn't until later that I realized Bama was the brand name-much later! It's still my favorite, and I can eat it by the spoonfuls, so you know this is my favorite pie!

Ingredients
- 1 cup apple butter
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, plus a sprinkle for top
- 3 - eggs, slightly beaten
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
How To Make apple butter pumpkin pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2In the mixing bowl of an electric mixer, beat apple butter, pumpkin and brown sugar until combined. Add salt and pumpkin pie spice. Mix on low until thoroughly combined.

Step 3Add eggs and milk. Mix on medium until smooth and combined. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

Step 4Bake at 400° for 50-55 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cover edges loosely with foil during the last 20 minutes if necessary. Cool on wire rack.

Step 5Beat whipping cream with the whisk attachment of an electric mixer, adding 1/3 cup sugar during last 2 minutes. Serve with cooled pie with a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice on top of whipped cream.
