I make apple butter every year from our own apples so when my mom saw this recipe on a postcard she bought it and mailed it to me. I made it for Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it!

  • 1 c
    canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 c
    apple butter
  • 1/4 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1
    9 in. unbaked deep dish pie crust
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3 large
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    evaporated milk
  • STREUSEL TOPPING:

  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans

How to Make Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Pie Directions:
    Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, apple butter, 1/4 c. brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir in eggs and evaporated milk. Pour into prepared pie shell.
  2. Bake in preheated oven for 50-60 minutes. Sprinkle streusel topping over the pie and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  3. Streusel Topping Directions:
    In a small bowl, combine butter, flour, and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Stir until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans.
