My son-in-law is gluten intolerant, and so most desserts are 'not for him'. I felt so sorry for the poor man that I searched through all of my 'pesach' desserts and converted this one for him. He loved it so much that it is now 'his' dessert. I hope that you enjoy it as well.

How to Make apple/almond pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 180C/350F.
  2. Peel, core and slice apples. Put into a 8 -9" deep pie dish. Add butter, wine and honey. Cover with glad wrap and microwave on high for approx 5 mins.
  3. In another bowl mix together ground almonds, butter/marg, egg, sugar. When combined spoon over the apples and spread out smoothly.
