Ingredients

  • CRUST

  • 2/3 c
    graham cracker crumbs (about 14 squares)
  • 1/4 c
    butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 c
    slivered almonds, broken
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • FILLING

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    cherries
  • TOPPING

  • 1 pt
    sour cream
  • 5 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    almond extract
  • OPTIONAL GARNISH

  • ·
    slivered almonds
  • ·
    maraschino cherries

How to Make Almond Cherry Cheesecake (oven version)

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix crust ingredients and press onto bottom and sides of 9-inch pie pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Mix in eggs until creamy and smooth.
  5. Stir in cherries.
  6. Pour cream cheese mixture into crust.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes.
  8. Let pie cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Mix topping ingredients, except almonds.
  10. Pour over pie.
  11. Bake pie at 375 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  12. Top or garnish with silvered almonds, if used.
  13. Cool pie for 8 hours or overnight before serving.
  14. Garnish with cherries, if desired.
