addiction pie
The inspiration for this pie came from Momofuku's Milk Bar's crack pie. I wanted to do something similar, but with chocolate.

How To Make addiction pie
-
Step 1For the Crust: In food processor, add walnuts and cookies, then grind until crumbly (does not have to be super fine) Slowly drizzle butter, until dough begins to form and pull from sides. Using a ten inch pie pan or springform pan, press dough into bottom and up the sides of pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
-
Step 2The Filling: In mixing bowl, combine sugar and cocoa powder. Beat eggs, then add to the sugar mixture. Beat in milk, butter and vanilla.
-
Step 3Pour the mixture over pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until set. Middle of pie should be somewhat jiggly, but not liquid. Let pie cool completely before slicing. (I usually sit it in the fridge overnight)
-
Step 4Serve with fresh whipped cream and berries on the side. This pie is very rich, so I usually make the slices pretty narrow. A little goes a long way.
